Colorin ColoradoThis site contains many resources and teaching materials in both English and Spanish. "'English only' fails to build on the complex language practices of bilingual students," which is why I appreciate that things are offered in both English and Spanish to provide that language support (Garcia & Flores, 2014). It has not only written guidelines, but also videos you can watch to see lessons carried out in a cation or interviews where experts will talk about their successful strategies. It is beneficial to an ELD teachers personal professional development because it helps teachers across the board on what basics they should know and implement. It talks about what schools can do to support their ELL's, which teachers can then advocate for. It talks about resources for parents to use to help their child. This website does more then just offering lesson plans and strategies for ELD teachers to use, but focuses on all the outside supports need to guide our students.
